Hagiwara Tooru is a math teacher at Jougaouka High School. He's a shy and caring individual, often referred to as a teddy bear. He has known the Shibata brothers since their high school days and has been in a relationship with the eldest, Shibata Masami, for just as long. When he first met Masami, he mistakenly thought Masami was a girl, but even after discovering the truth, Tooru's feelings remained unchanged. Born in Tokyo, he has a younger sister named Izumi and a younger brother named Kyouhei. He also had a pet dog named Umenosuke, who played a significant role in how he initially met the Shibatas.
