Li Tenmon is a Yami master hailing from China, though he does not belong to the One Shadow Nine Fists, as evidenced by his absence from their meeting. He was approached by Ogata Isshinsai to have his disciple challenge Kenichi.
Ma Kensei notes that Li Tenmon is a ruthless fighter, equally bloodthirsty as his brother Sougetsu, when Renka mentions Hermit's search for his master. He has a daughter and disciple in Yomi, often punishing her harshly if she made mistakes like calling him father instead of master.
After his daughter's defeat, Li Tenmon tried to kill Kenichi personally, engaging in a prolonged but uneven battle against Kenichi, Miu, Renka, and the Shinpaku Alliance. Just as he was about to eliminate them all, Ma intervened, criticizing Li for interfering in a match between disciples before defeating him. Ma also pointed out that despite his strict discipline towards his daughter, there are signs that he still cares about her and other young girls, assuming it’s because "they are someone's daughter".
Niijima's Niijima Scan technique suggests that Li Tenmon is at the level of the Ryozanpaku masters, though this may not be entirely accurate due to the scan exploding. Additionally, Li Tenmon has shown remarkable durability, landing on his head after jumping off a two-story building without sustaining damage.
