Taki, the top-ranked student in his grade, is Airi's best friend. He is someone Airi depends on greatly and trusts wholeheartedly, even mentioning once that her heart would stop if he chose to ignore her. Airi often vents to him, and he is always there to comfort her. Interestingly, they seem to have the ability to communicate telepathically, as shown in Chapter 12. There are hints suggesting that Taki has feelings for Airi.
