Furukawa Takashi makes his debut in chapter 20 as part of a group aiming to capture Kenichi. During their fight, Takashi initially manages to hold his ground. However, after sustaining a bleeding punch from Kenichi, he loses control and resorts to using a knife, which scares Kenichi. Thankfully, Miu intervenes by knocking the knife out of Takashi's hand with Kenichi's belt.
Later, while Kenichi is heading home, Takashi attempts once more to take him to Kisara. This time, having spent an exhausting day training with Shigure, Kenichi overcomes his fear of weapons. He easily defeats Takashi, all the while ranting about how he had to dodge a sword all day because of Takashi.
