The main female protagonist in the story, Suguri has an immense love for all things related to the canine world. She is innocent, somewhat clumsy, and can come off as absent-minded, yet she holds a deep affection for both dogs and humans. Her best friend is her mutt dog Lupin, whom Suguri describes as her "alter ego" as the narrative progresses. Suguri's bond with dogs is unique; upon entering "Woofles Pet Shop," puppies start to exhibit "happy pee," indicating that dogs have a very positive aura around her. She possesses the ability to recognize individual dog faces and can sense when a dog needs to relieve itself or when they are trying to communicate something urgent to her. The only known background about Suguri is that she was kidnapped at the age of four, which made her parents overly protective. The red collar she wears around her neck serves as a reminder of the dog that saved her. Suguri also excels at giving massages. Eventually, Suguri takes up a job as a hostess alongside a friend to earn extra money.
