Solomon was a blood relative of Amshel and thus connected to the Goldschmidt family in France. As the youngest among the Goldsmiths, his family desired him to join the military during World War I to further expand their influence, despite having already established numerous banks and businesses. However, Solomon, driven by a desire to help those in need, chose the medical field instead. Though he didn't directly engage in combat, he served as a military doctor. The relentless violence of war horrified him, leading him to yearn for a life free from conflict.
In 1917, during the Russian Revolution, Solomon met Diva through Amshel. He agreed to become her chevalier, hoping to escape the human propensity for self-destruction and believing that peace might follow. Over time, however, he began viewing humans as insignificant. Eventually, he realized that the chiropteran world was just as rife with strife as the human one. Since he wore white when he became a chevalier, it remained his sole color, symbolizing his allegiance to Diva.
With French heritage, Solomon is one of the series' most charismatic characters. His kind, gentle smile makes him an irresistible figure to women. Maintaining the appearance of a man in his early to mid-20s, he has pale skin, light green eyes, and wavy blonde hair. His ever-present smile reflects his peaceful nature, but his eyes glow red whenever he engages seriously, using his chiropteran abilities while in human form.
During Saya's battle with James, as she faces imminent death by her own sword, Solomon intervenes and halts the attack. He declares a bond stronger and sweeter than blood, promising to be Saya's chevalier regardless of reward. Unable to fully transform into a chiropteran, Solomon partially transforms his arm, injuring James enough to release Saya's sword, which then cuts Solomon's shoulder. Despite his efforts to protect her, he is knocked back by James. After his brother's demise, Solomon kneels before Saya, telling her to call his name if she ever needs him, before leaving. As Saya calls out, he vanishes, and Hagi explains Solomon's bond formed out of love. In an alley, Solomon begins to crystallize. When Amshel arrives, Solomon attempts to attack but shatters under his brother's gaze, who comments on his foolishness. It remains unclear whether Saya ever learned of his death, as no one informs her.
