Shou Takamatsu is the protagonist. He is a sixth-grader known for being quite the prankster.

Shou embodies nobility and bravery, displaying a selfless nature. He staunchly refuses to sacrifice anyone for the greater good. Despite beginning the story in conflict with his mother, he deeply loves her and often calls out for her in moments of distress. Shou shares a close friendship with Ikegaki and Otomo, and as the story progresses, he also forms strong bonds with Sakiko, Gamo, and other officials.

Throughout the events, Shou meticulously documents everything in a notebook, hoping that one day it will be discovered and aid in unraveling the mystery surrounding the school and its children.
