The 16-year-old male protagonist. Several months ago, he received a note from a girl inviting him to meet her privately. Upon arrival, he encountered a morbidly obese girl who disrobed and professed her love to him. Shingo became terrified by her size and attempted to flee, screaming for help. Enraged, the girl nearly crushed him to death, resulting in a month-long hospital stay. He claims to have no memory of the attack, ashamed that he was overpowered by a girl. This traumatic event left Shingo with permanent scars and developed gynophobia, leading him to view all women as "dinosaurs," reminiscent of the girl who attacked him. Upon returning to school, he decided to join the boxing club to defend himself against women. However, he was horrified to discover that all the club members were women. Even more shocking, one of the members turned out to be the same girl who had viciously attacked him but had since lost a significant amount of weight. Despite his gynophobia and weakness towards women, it has been shown that his anger or fear (stemming from concern for the girls' well-being) can sometimes overpower his fear. His fear of women has also given him a heightened awareness of his surroundings, allowing him to sense when a woman is nearby, even if she is a ninja. A recurring joke throughout the series is that despite his terror of women, many women fall in love with him, often due to misunderstandings caused by his fear of women.
