The 'Angel of the Apocalypse,' Sandalphon is Metatron's younger twin brother and typically manipulates Metatron's toy rabbit, though his soul resides within Metatron. When Metatron is taken from Sevothtarte's care, Sandalphon seizes the opportunity to possess him, revealing his intentions for Lailah to be his mother so that he can have a true, separate body. He proceeds to rape her after driving her insane. Sandalphon loves Lailah because she sang to him in his 'cradle' but hates her for sealing him away after he gave her new life as Sevothtarte. After her death, he possesses Sara, planning for her to become his mother.
He has millions of eyes and mouths scattered across his form and six wings sprouting from his head. Sandalphon's ability involves invading dreams and using them against his victims. By 'eating' their nightmares and showing them their fondest dreams, he steals their souls and drives them insane. He claims that he and his brother never matured because God created him with the raw cruelty of a child, destined to destroy the universe.
