The Organic Angel Alexiel is the elder of the twin angels. Loved by both the angel Uriel and the demon Lucifer, she professes her greatest love to be for God. However, in truth, her deepest affection was for her twin brother, Rosiel, though not in an incestuous manner like Sara and Setsuna's relationship. She was one of the two highest-ranking angels in Heaven and possessed three wings. Born from Adam Kadmon with the purpose of loving God, Alexiel rebels against Him due to her love for Rosiel. To protect her brother, she conceals her feelings under threat that Rosiel would be killed if God learned of her true feelings. Consequently, she is sentenced to confinement in Briah, known as the Angel's Garden (Eden), and compelled to eat the fruit of the Tree of Life. This act damns her, as the tree grows from a part of Adam Kadmon’s body, meaning she is essentially consuming another angel's flesh. It is in Eden where Alexiel first encounters Lucifer. After God reveals his plan for Lucifer to wage war against Heaven and become evil, Lucifer seeks revenge by corrupting and killing God's "beloved" daughter. However, after speaking with Alexiel, he changes his mind and vows to free her from Eden, which he eventually does. This act results in the erasure of his memories and the imprisonment of his soul into Nanatsusaya, which Alexiel later discovers and battles. When Alexiel seals away Rosiel, she is imprisoned and tried by the High Council for her actions. After falsely claiming that her greatest love was for God, Uriel sentences her body to be encased in an angel crystal while her soul is endlessly reincarnated into humans, each life filled with misery and ending in a painful death.
