Rara Yamabuki is a demon who ventures into the human world with the intent to perform evil deeds. As a teenage girl, she begins attending Meian Prefectural High School. Despite her mission to be nefarious, most of Rara's actions are merely harmless pranks. Her true objective is to capture the heart of Hiroshi Akusawa, a legendary demon she has never met but has a crush on. Upon arrival, she encounters Retsu Aku, a human classmate, and mistakenly identifies him as Hiroshi because she thought he "flew" with her from a rooftop. After realizing he is just an ordinary human, she uses her power of flight to save him from an attack by the rugby club, which results in her permanently losing that power and coming to realize she is in love with him.
