Rad is a cyborg and a member of the Aswad. Originally human, he was afflicted by a mysterious disease that affected the Aswad. To survive, his nervous system and brain were transferred into a mechanical body. Fourteen years before the main events of My-Otome, he participated in an attack on the Windbloom Kingdom, where he clashed with the former Otome Rena Sayers, ultimately leading to her death. Rad can summon a dog-like entity, reminiscent of a Cerberus, and wields a double-bladed spear. His mechanical body is deteriorating, which will eventually result in his death.
