Quon Kisaragi is a mysterious young girl who speaks the first words of the TV series and is introduced meeting Ayato in episode 4. Her typical expression of surprise or agreement is "Ra-ra" (or "La-la"), and her dialogue is often cryptic and musically themed. While she and Ayato do not develop a romantic relationship, she shows a unique level of physical and emotional closeness with him, unmatched by any other character, including Haruka. Quon never treats Ayato as a curiosity or an annoyance; instead, she seems to understand his situation and eventual role, referring to him as Ollin ("motion" in Nahuatl).
Like Ayato, Quon bears the marks of a potential instrumentalist. Both are shown undergoing examinations, and when outside her home, she wears a vest-like device known as a Life Module. Quon is proficient in playing both the violin and piano and often exhibits curiosity about the music others listen to on headphones, frequently taking them off to hear the tunes herself.
