The prototype for Signal was created by Otoi-sensei and Masanobu. Originally, he had silver hair and wore a grey-styled outfit. He was a very kind and gentle robot. However, one day, Masanobu made some changes, upgrading him into a highly skilled combat robot. His appearance then transformed to feature black long hair and dark clothes, with two massive blades attached to his arms. It also seems that he can conduct electricity through his hair and channel this power through his eyes like a laser. These modifications did not turn out entirely well. Now, he appears to be very nearsighted, and if he uses the laser or gets too worn down, he passes out. He has what seems like robotic narcolepsy. He and Signal frequently fight and tease each other, but Pulse appears to have a soft spot for Chibi Signal and often talks with him. It also seems he was/is friends with Kris.
