An AI retrieved from a missile that was adrift in space. He never fulfilled his mission because he wanted to avoid death, which would have been the outcome if his warhead had detonated. Later on, he was integrated into a plush toy that loosely resembles a round, pink cat-penguin hybrid. Normad typically showers Vanilla with endless praise, despite her intermittent neglect and mistreatment of him, but holds cynical views about the rest of the Angel Team, particularly Milfuelle, whom he labels as a dimwit, and Forte, who reciprocates by frequently shooting at him. Apart from the occasional informative insights he offers, he mainly serves as comic relief due to his tendency to get injured inadvertently. His name might draw inspiration from NORAD, which is tasked with warning against missile attacks, aligning with his initial purpose. Mika Kanai voices Normad in Japanese, while Richard Ian Cox takes on the role in the English dub. In the first manga series, Normad's body makes an appearance in chapter 2.
