Nagi Gotou, the male protagonist, is a seventeen year old sophomore born on September 23.
When his father transfers to New York for business, Nagi moves to Okitsushima to see the birth place of his mother and the beauty of the cape Umi no Misaki. His father would tell him stories about the beauty of the cape and he had to see it for himself.
Curious about the island's inhabitants and different traditions, Nagi attends the annual Dragon God Festival and finds out one of the island's biggest secrets - that he himself is the reincarnation of the Dragon God.
Nagi is hardworking and gives everything he does his all. He is reliable, honest, decisive, and forthcoming. He is an excellent cook, even better than Shizuku.
