The Demon sword, Morgif, can only be wielded by the Maoh. Yuri embarks on a quest to locate it and, upon finding it, carries it reluctantly on most of his adventures. Morgif originally featured a jewel on its 'forehead,' which was the source of its power. This jewel fell out when Cheri-sama dropped Morgif. Yuri handed the jewel to Yozak, giving him free rein to do as he wished with it. The jewel isn't returned until much later, when Morgif faces a powerful Holy Sword. Despite losing its jewel, Morgif is not powerless. The extent of its powers without the jewel remains a mystery, though with the jewel, its powers are said to be boundless. As the Maoh's sword, nothing owned by the Maoh is ordinary, and Morgif is no exception. It possesses the personality of a cheerfully lecherous old man. Murata, who was the Great Sage in his previous life, noted that Morgif had undergone significant changes; it once had "a young and handsome face" and a "soothing counter-tenor voice." When the "Stone of the Dragon King," a jewel belonging to the royal family, was "stolen," Yuri used Morgif to help find it, reasoning that Morgif had seen the thief. However, it turned out that Cheri had taken it to use as a centerpiece for her necklace, leaving an IOU in the treasure room. Erhard Wincott, the ancestor of Susannah Julia von Wincott, was an inventor who conducted numerous tests, one of which involved Morgif and its history. Morgif was forged from powerful lava streaming from a specific volcano on Bandadine Island.
