As more or less Rokuna's boyfriend, he immediately got involved with Ichirobei's scheme, recruited as a Mon Colle Knight alongside Rokuna. He adapts to his new role fairly quickly after overcoming the shock of the parallel universe and the somewhat ridiculous outfit he was given. Like Rokuna, he hopes to find the items needed to unite the worlds. Determined and with a lot of endurance, he provides the strength of the team. He has a particular love for dragons but is most commonly seen with the (initially chibi) Pegasus he met early in the series. Mondo views the world through "moe" glasses. When confronted with cute girls, especially those who seem to need help, he switches to hero mode, sometimes even taking off his shirt in the process. Unfortunately, these girls aren't usually in dire need of (emotional) rescue, and Rokuna often violently brings him back to reality. Thus, Mondo's constant flirting with other girls isn't so much about disregarding what Rokuna thinks; he simply can't help himself. Nothing is known about Mondo's home life in the human world, though as the series progresses, he increasingly seems to live with the Hiiragis.
