Mio is a diligent girl from a humble background. She resides with her brother, Hina(ta), and due to her mother's hospitalization and her father's passing, she takes on multiple part-time jobs to cover rent and daily expenses. Her life becomes even more complicated when she meets Shoei, who not only steals her first kiss but also offers to 'buy her'.
The following day, Mio's mother informs her that their landlord has proposed a job as a maid for their household. Despite her reluctance, Mio decides to meet with him regarding the offer. Shockingly, she finds out that the boy who kissed her the previous night is none other than the landlord's son and the high-achieving student at her school, often referred to as Prince Jinnai.
Later, Mio uncovers a secret that links her and Shoei back to their childhood, explaining why she has no recollection of ever being friends with him.
