Minki is the youngest member of the oni family but matches her brothers in terms of destructiveness and annoyance. Despite having powers and abilities akin to her older brothers, Baki and Zekki, Minki's source of power lies uniquely in a pair of panties she wears. According to legend, an oni's spiritual power largely stems from their underwear or loincloth. Losing her panties in the human world compels Minki to retrieve them, leading to unintended consequences like making everyone at Doumori Elementary nude. She eventually recovers them—though they were worn by the perverted Ishikawa-sensei—only for Nūbē to take them, compelling Minki to join his class.
Nūbē believed that beyond her panty-powered strength, Minki was a quiet, nice girl who needed guidance. Initially strange, Minki gradually reveals a protective and kinder side, even safeguarding her classmates much like Nūbē does. However, upon reclaiming her panties, Minki regains her full demonic power and attitude, clashing with her teacher and particularly disliking the male students. At the peak of her rampage, just as she prepares to destroy her teacher and school, her panties fall off again, causing her to drop her attack. Nūbē saves her, believing her different from other Oni and offering her a second chance in the human world.
After nearly destroying the school and Nūbē, Minki becomes both a valuable student and a key ally in protecting students and fighting enemies and yōkai. Though she doesn't possess all her Oni power without her panties, she retains enough to play mischievous tricks on friends and classmates, gradually accepting them as friends despite her circumstances. Minki assists Nūbē in battle by fusing with him, allowing him to use her Oni power. Unlike Baki’s arrangement, this conscious partnership lets Nūbē access a fuller extent of Minki's power. Outside battles, Minki sees Nūbē as both her teacher and "big brother," leading to awkward situations regarding human and Oni sibling dynamics.
Minki is the only Oni sibling without a full demonic form. While she can display oni features such as scantily clad appearances and demonic hands and feet, her form leans more human compared to Zekki or Baki. Uniquely, two horn-like protrusions that form her long pigtails remain visible in both "human" and "Oni" forms.
