Kushinada Mikumo is the Jujutsu Master of Yami's One Shadow Nine Fists and the mentor of Kushinada Chikage. Notably, she stands as the sole female member among the Nine Fists.
Mikumo presents herself as a voluptuous woman in her mid-20s to early 30s. This youthful appearance likely results from her family's experiments aimed at decelerating the aging process. She has been spotted driving a sports car, contrasting with her traditional Japanese hakama attire, presumably heading towards Diego's location shortly after his transformation into the "Angry Steel Fist." Her long black hair reaches her waist, and she often wears an open kimono to accentuate her bust, complemented by a beaded necklace. In her younger years, her hair was shorter, reaching just to her chin, and her physique was less pronounced.
Mikumo exhibits one of the most stoic and serious demeanors within Yami. Rarely displaying emotions beyond surprise, she maintains a melancholic expression. She advocates for emotional control in combat, warning that losing one's temper can diminish skills.
She shows exceptional care towards Chikage, perhaps more than any other Yomi member, possibly because Chikage is her disciple and she views her almost like a daughter. Mikumo enjoys meditating, often engaging in this practice during her free time.
Mikumo believes empathy is a weakness and that the strong should not be swayed by the weak. She exploited this belief to push Ethan Stanley to fight more fiercely against Kenichi to save his sister. However, she occasionally displays feminine traits when reminiscing about past adventures with Hayato, teasing him for lacking charm and referring to their shared history as "the hot fires blazing between us."
Mikumo previously collaborated with Fuurinji Hayato against Yami. A flashback depicts a much younger Hayato and a slightly younger Mikumo on the battlefield. It was hinted they might have had a deeper connection, though Hayato denies it, stating, "the only things that burned were the forts and tanks." The reason for her shift to Yami remains unclear, but it is suggested to stem from the loss of someone dear to her.
