okuyama masumi
A claustrophobic fourth-year timpanist, who identifies as an okama, has the body of a male but the mind of a female. He develops a crush on Chiaki and becomes jealous when Nodame starts spending time with him, viewing her as a rival. As a result, he often bullies Nodame and anyone else who tries to get close to Chiaki. Despite his quirks, he is highly skilled in percussion, earning him the title of "Queen of Percussion." His talent secures him a place in both the S and R☆S orchestras conducted by Chiaki.
