After Fukamachi inquired about the camera he found at his shop, he thought it might be worth more than it seemed and used someone to steal it from Fukamachi. People around him say that he's not a good person but not a fool, he has good business sense and he sometimes uses underhanded means when it comes to items that are likely to bring him profit.


After he learns about Ryouko's kidnapping, he doesn't accept the offer to resell the camera because he's aware that an item gained through illegal means would bring trouble, demonstrating that he's cautious about taking risks.
