Ultimately, as his core suffered irreparable damage and he despaired over his impending failure, help arrived. He succeeded in his mission, ensuring life could be restored, yet 27 million years of struggle left Louis nearly destroyed. The ones who arrived differ in both versions: in one, they are mankind's descendants; in the other, they are the evolved AI from the Ark, much like Louis.
