She aims to eradicate the Sea of Corruption from the earth by any means necessary. Though not portrayed as purely evil, she is definitely an antagonist.
In the manga, her role is more intricate, leaning more towards an antihero or ally rather than a straightforward antagonist. Her primary motivation is revenge against her father and three older half-brothers, whom she despises and blames for her mother's fate. She commands the Torumekian Third Army, which she personally trained; her dedication to her troops is matched by their unwavering loyalty to her. Despite her fierce demeanor in battle, she possesses a noble character that earns respect from both Nausicaä and Master Yupa. While she admires Nausicaä's pacifist ideals, she believes herself fated to tread the path of violence.
