otoyama kouta

Kouta is a mysterious figure. He and Shipon share a romantic connection, yet much about him remains a mystery. He has an older sister who manages an astronomical observatory in Japan. Kouta frequently offers advice that is as cryptic as he is. He consistently earns a rank C in all his classes, no matter the difficulty of the subject. When warned about the potential for Ayaka to attack Shipon during training, he exhibits exceptional piloting skills that surpass what his ship should be capable of. Another instance is during a simulator game where Rinna achieved Rank A, Shima got Rank B, while Kouta scored Rank S. When Shima questions why Kouta doesn't perform at his best in class, especially given his capabilities, he simply responds that he wonders about it too. Pierre once commented, "Talented hawks hide their talons," referring to Kouta's abilities.
