Born on the same day and in the same hospital as Kinnikuman and four other boys, a fire led to the children being mixed up, possibly misplacing the true heir of their home planet. His family relocated to Planet Moctezuma, a planet with such a thin atmosphere that its inhabitants had to wear oxygen masks. This environment fostered a tough heart and exceptional jumping abilities in Mariposa. Growing up in poverty, he turned to a life of theft. During his thieving days, he stole the Robin Family heirloom, the Anoalo Sceptre. After Kinnikuman proved himself worthy to become the next king, five evil gods sought out the other potential heirs and endowed them with great choujin power, transforming them into the Five Fated Princes, each claiming to be the true heir. Mariposa was chosen by the God of Flight. A royal survivor series was organized to determine the rightful heir to the throne. Mariposa's team battled the true Kinnikuman and his allies in the first round at Kumamoto Castle. His victory was compromised when Kinnikuman wrote Robin Mask and Terryman's names in invisible ink that would react to light. This led to Mariposa fighting Robin Mask directly, using the stolen sceptre. He was stunned by a beam from a temple on Planet Kinniku when attempting to use a fake Muscle Revenger, a sacred technique of the Kinniku Royal family, and was ultimately defeated by Robin's Robin Special, thus achieving Robin's revenge.
