He is not the legal son of a yakuza group chief, which forces him to leave the main house. After leaving, he encounters Ranmaru and falls in love with him. Despite not being the legitimate son, a rival gang attempts to assassinate Kei but fails; instead, they nearly kill Ranmaru. Ranmaru loses hope in ever walking again, but Kei promises to be his left arm and left leg, urging him to recover because of his deep love for him. Motivated by Kei's support, Ranmaru puts in immense effort and eventually regains his ability to walk. Thus, their love story begins. Later, Kei reunites with his younger brother, Kai, who is the legitimate son. Initially, Kai and Kei have a strained relationship as Kai harbors feelings for Ranmaru. However, Kai accepts the situation upon witnessing the profound love between Kei and Ranmaru.
