Every girl Kaoru likes or has dated ends up with his friend Masato. Kaoru starts to withdraw, quietly enduring the pain inside. When Masato gets dumped, he makes Kaoru hug him for comfort until Kaoru finds a new interest, after which Masato always leaves. Throughout this story, Kaoru grows increasingly upset. When he falls ill, he decides to end this arrangement, straining their relationship.
