In the manga, she is merely a supporting character who frequently screams and is quite timid. She is Tadashi's girlfriend. Her unusually sensitive nose makes her highly jealous when Tadashi is near other women. Thanks to her heightened sense of smell, she seems capable of detecting when creatures are approaching.
She will die while trying to reach out for Tadashi.

In the anime, however, she takes on the main role and behaves completely differently compared to the manga. Here, she is both Tadashi's fiancée and girlfriend. She loves him deeply and would not mind sacrificing herself for him.
Later, it is revealed that she possesses a unique immunity against the germs and manages to survive with a small group of people.
