Kugatachi Kaname, commonly known as Freya, was the former Third Fist of Ragnarok and a practitioner of Kugatachi Style Joujutsu. She joined Ragnarok to learn techniques from Ogata but never met him. Freya commands her own personal attack team called The Valkyries and believes that for women to achieve strength comparable to men, they must use weapons.
Freya is a tall, dark-skinned woman with blue eyes and short, messy brown hair. She has a curvaceous and well-endowed figure with a toned frame and is usually seen in a blue spandex bodysuit and an orange leather jacket. She also has a thin scar across her left cheek.
Freya is calm and stoic, rarely showing emotion, though unlike Loki, she clearly cares for her subordinates. Despite her strong adherence to Ragnarok's rules, she is not heartless and follows the principles of Katsujin Ken, likely instilled by her master. After Kisara breaks her staff, Freya refuses to continue fighting, believing it signifies her defeat, and acknowledges Kisara’s strength.
While being a very strong fighter who almost disregards gender, Freya has a fear of mice, displaying very girlish reactions like jumping into Thor's arms to escape one, much to his amusement. She also appears somewhat naive, performing a seductive pose at Kensei's request to learn about a technique Kenichi used in a fight (though perhaps she is simply willing to go to great lengths to win).
Recently, Freya shows a more friendly, big-sisterly side towards Kisara. She seems to have a crush on Ukita, as noted by Miu, but is shy about it. Though she still cares deeply for Ukita, she has recently developed an interest in Takeda since they went on a double date together, and his master, James Shiba, believes they are a couple. Like Shigure, Freya doesn't seem to have much modesty, as shown when she had no problem sleeping topless in the hotel she shared with Kisara and says she always sleeps that way.
As one of the original three Fists of Ragnarok, Freya is highly skilled. Trained by her grandfather from a young age to inherit their family's Kugatachi Style, she is proficient enough to train others into capable fighters.
