Segawa Izumi is the class president. She is the younger fraternal twin sister of Kotetsu Segawa. When they were young, Hayate saved her from a dog attack that had taken her doll (Volume 17 flashback). In gratitude, she kissed him on the lips, which caused her father concern. Since meeting again at Hakuō Academy, neither of them mentioned this childhood incident to each other as time had faded their memories.
Later chapters suggest that she might have feelings for Hayate.
In season 4, there's a recurring joke where Yukiji refers to her and her two friends, Risa and Miki, as the "Three Idiots."
