Takeda Ikki was formerly part of Ragnarok's Technique Trio, alongside Ukita and Kouga. He is now one of the captains in the Shinpaku Alliance and a major rival to Kenichi. With a muscular physique, dark skin, and silver hair, he stands out as one of the most attractive students at his school. Typically seen in his school uniform with bandages around his wrists from training, he often has a blade of grass in his mouth, trying to look cool.
Takeda exudes confidence and maintains a light-hearted demeanor, even cracking jokes during tense situations. He holds immense respect for his master James Shiba and the Masters of Ryozanpaku.
In the past, Takeda excelled as a boxer and had a best friend who fought alongside him. However, an unfortunate incident occurred when delinquents attacked his friend; while rushing to help, Takeda suffered a severe injury to his left arm, rendering it paralyzed. His friend abandoned him to pursue fame, leading Takeda to lose his passion for fighting and turn into a delinquent himself. During this time, he joined Ragnarok and befriended Ukita.
After Akisame repaired his arm, Takeda rediscovered his sportsmanship spirit and left his delinquent ways behind, returning to boxing. He regained his cheerful personality and became more sociable after leaving Ragnarok, even challenging Member J of the Black Force team to a fight over disrespectful behavior towards Mizunuma.
During the D of D tournament, Takeda displayed poor English skills by shouting at an opponent, "I AM WIN! YOU SAY SORRY! OK?" demanding an apology if he won the fight.
Due to their delinquent activities in their final year of high school, Takeda and Ukita had to repeat another year.
Hints in the manga suggest that Takeda might have feelings for Miu Furinji.
