The entity Robert Johnson makes a deal with to gain his genius as a bluesman. An enigmatic figure, this being appears and vanishes on a whim, typically to offer Johnson guidance or, as he calls it, a warning.
Though he gives off the impression of being a supernatural entity, such as the Devil, Ike himself clarifies that he is not the Devil.
Ike is inspired by Isaiah "Ike" Zinnerman, who was rumored to have acquired his guitar-playing skills through supernatural means by visiting graveyards at midnight. It is said that Johnson learned his distinctive guitar styles from Ike as he was transforming into the legendary bluesman he is renowned as today.
