Holland Novak leads Gekkostate, captains the Gekko, and pilots the LFO Terminus type R909. In reality, Holland isn't always as calm and collected as his photos in ray=out magazine might suggest—he often loses his temper when situations go south or when faced with insubordination. He has confined Renton to the brig for using Nirvash without permission and has physically disciplined him for particularly frustrating breaches. His worry over Eureka's depression drives him to display irrational hostility towards Renton. His relationship with Talho helps keep him grounded, but it can strain whenever he gets angry. Holland genuinely loves Talho but struggles with how to respond, especially to her fears that his unwavering dedication to protecting Eureka means he prioritizes Eureka over her. Holland also grapples with the haunting memories of his violent past, which sometimes trigger violent outbursts.
