Imai-senpai, as he is known by all the first-years (and thus, most of the basketball team), is a friendly and easy-going individual. He seems to split his time between coaching and playing, even though there is technically a coach. One of the first characters introduced, he plays a significant role in the first chapter. However, his appearances become less frequent afterward, reducing him to a supporting character. Despite this, he remains well-liked by everyone on the team.
