An OZ volunteer soldier who reports to the Lunar Base befriends Duo, attempts to recruit him, and eventually turns against OZ to work with him, providing him with a cover while working in her salvage yard. She is injured at the end of the series during a fight against mobile dolls but reappears alive and well at the end of Endless Waltz. In Frozen Teardrop: In MC0012, Hilde leaves Duo, and he travels to Mars. Some time later, Hilde follows, becoming a librarian in the Lanigreen Republic. Here, she reunites with Duo, and he moves in with her. After Duo proposes, they marry in MC0015. However, Duo soon leaves again. When he returns in MC0016, Hilde has begun caring for children at a local church orphanage. When the priest leaves the church to Hilde and Duo, the debt also passes to them, with Hilde bearing the brunt of it. She demands a divorce from Duo. He signs the divorce papers and vanishes once more, promising to help Hilde recover from her debts. Sometime before Duo returns in MC0017, Duo Maxwell comes into her care. It is unclear if he was born to her while Father Maxwell was traveling or if he was adopted by the orphanage. Hilde claims she thinks he might be a lovechild of one of Father's women, but Duo muses that the child would have been born while he and Hilde were still together. In MC0017, Father Maxwell brings Naina Peacecraft to the orphanage, placing her in Hilde's care at Zechs Merquise's request.
