Hikage is a short, temperamental girl and the youngest character in the entire cast of Lucky Star. In the game, she has long light-purple hair, which she braids thinly to the right side and uses as a ribbon to tie her remaining hair. Her eyes are light blue and slanted upwards. However, in the anime and manga, her appearance differs slightly, with short blue hair instead of long purple hair.
Hikage, or Hikage-chan, is Hinata Miyakawa's younger sister. She is the youngest character in the Lucky Star series.
Hikage attends the fourth grade at Sakura-en Public Elementary School in class 4-1. She exhibits a classic Tsundere personality and strongly dislikes otaku culture due to her sister's devotion to it, which leads her to spend most of their income on manga, anime, and doujinshi. This makes Hikage wish she could grow up quickly to get a job and support them, allowing them to afford more expensive items.
A recurring theme is that Hikage is often hungry because of their limited food budget. She is depicted dreaming about eating meat. Her first anime appearance is a brief background shot in Episode 12, followed by an appearance alongside her sister in Episode 16 when Kagami, Tsukasa, and Miyuki buy a comic magazine and Code Geass doujin from Hinata. Hikage then announces she is hungry. In Episode 24, they both visit Ryōō High School for the culture festival but arrive a day early, upsetting Hikage who criticizes her sister for wasting money on the train ticket instead of spending it on "hamburger steak or something fancy." Hikage also appears in Manga episode 87 (Moe Drill), where she accidentally throws away some of Hinata's manga volumes, discovers her sister watching late-night anime, and learns the value of other volumes they own.
One of her fears is getting in trouble with her sister and being forced to "...go vegetarian for a week..." This fear stems from Hinata actually using this method to punish Hikage.
