Yukino and Soichiro's laid-back and girl-crazy friend, Hideaki, is strikingly handsome and highly popular. Despite being smart enough to gain admission to the prestigious Hokuei High School, he is a terrible student, often found surfing or chasing after girls instead of studying.
Hideaki and Soichiro are regarded as the two most attractive boys in school. While Soichiro remains largely indifferent to the attention, Hideaki fully embraces it. During their school's annual culture festival, Hideaki's class organizes a "Hideaki Asaba Dinner Show," which becomes a huge hit with all the girls but leaves Yukino and Soichiro feeling uneasy.
