A "phantom member" of the Genshiken, Haraguchi rarely makes an appearance in the club room, and when he does, it usually brings bad news. He is also a part of the Manga Society and Anime Society, but has not paid his dues for any of these clubs.
Nicknamed "Haraguro" by those unfortunate enough to know him, he is widely disliked across all three groups. His connections with semi-professional manga artists are well-known, but even they only barely tolerate him. Despite this, his tendency to intimidate others into submission means that few dare to voice their complaints publicly.
