ginshu

One of the four Holy Ones and the High Priestess of the Sakigami shrine. Cursed by the demon Byakuroku, Ginshu is doomed to die and be reborn every day. Ginshu is genderless but traditionally referred to as a Princess. It is later revealed that Ginshu is not the true High Priestess but a decoy to safeguard the real High Priestess, Shinshu. Ginshu has "poison blood" which is lethal to demons; they perish when they try to consume him. Initially thought to be cursed by Byakuroku, it was later uncovered that Ginshu's spirit was placed inside Byakuroku's body by Bonten in an effort to save both their lives after a deadly battle. Before this curse transformed him into an ageless, genderless being, Ginshu was originally male. Due to the shrine's customs, he was dressed and addressed as if he were female.
