A squad leader of the Undertakers, Tamaki's special enforcement group that selects prisoners who could not be rehabilitated and survived a unique 'correctional' program to become anti-Deadman soldiers. These soldiers wield weapons capable of nullifying the Deadmen's Branches of Sin. Genkaku dresses in the attire of a monk but prefers the title "Hyper Monk." His weapon is a guitar that can split into two machine guns, emit shock waves, or function as a regular slide guitar. Two years ago, he killed Nagi's wife after she conspired with her husband to rig their fight. Since then, he has taken an interest in Nagi, claiming that Nagi possesses the insanity fitting for an Undertaker. In episode 12, during a flashback, Genkaku's past is revealed, detailing the events leading to his current state of mind. As a young boy, Genkaku was a monk at a monastery, initially quiet and gentle. However, after enduring constant abuse from three other men at the monastery—likely both physical and sexual—and following the explosion in Tokyo, he snapped, killing all three abusers.
