Stresemann is a renowned and internationally celebrated conductor who joins Momogaoka Music Academy as a guest instructor. He arrives at the academy as a personal favor to its Director, with whom he is deeply in love. Despite his illustrious reputation, Stresemann quickly earns a reputation as an eccentric pervert. His behavior is lecherous, demanding, and far from dignified, contrasting sharply with his esteemed status.
However, Stresemann forms an immediate bond with Nodame and eventually accepts Chiaki as his sole apprentice, despite having previously rejected his applications to join his conducting classes. His unpredictable antics often land Chiaki in hot water, but they also teach him a unique way of feeling and expressing music that only Stresemann can impart.
Stresemann frequently takes his orchestra out for social gatherings or group dates, preferring to visit nightclubs and host clubs—especially one called One More Kiss—over attending rehearsals he is supposed to conduct. His tendency to get easily intoxicated often leaves Chiaki to step in as vice-conductor.
Ultimately, Stresemann is forcibly taken back to Europe by his stern assistant, Elise, to resume his professional career. Over time, he develops a fatherly affection towards both Nodame and Chiaki.
