Fortuna is a Yami member and arms dealer who hosts the D of D tournament on his private island. As the adopted father of the Pankration team members in the tournament, he assumes this role purely due to his obsession with children who show potential to become Master Class fighters.
From his elevated box in the Colosseum, Fortuna observes through a thin mechanical body that permanently resides on its throne. The matches are streamed directly to his visor. He enlisted master class fighters, including Ma Sougetsu, to safeguard the island but was betrayed by Sougetsu's lack of cooperation.
Initially, he crippled the Shinpaku Alliance, whom he sought to adopt as his own children. However, he was eventually defeated by the injured members of the alliance along with Tanimoto Natsu while his island was being overrun by Ryozanpaku and the US Military. Jenny spared him after realizing he had been beaten by children and instead handed him over to military custody.
His martial art remains unknown, though he appears to rely on enhanced senses to perceive techniques and his massive size to endure attacks. To his disciples, he claims that "to the eyes of the Master Class, your attacks are insignificant." His breath alone was powerful enough to blow Matsui away, and he could effortlessly catch the strikes of nearly all Shinpaku members using minimal effort, even employing his teeth. Despite considering himself Master Class, Hermit described him as master class "garbage," indicating his extreme weakness compared to other masters.
Prior to the D of D tournament, Fortuna killed Jennifer Grey's father, prompting her infiltration of his base to exact revenge.
