Enzan is the classic "I'm the best, now prove to me you're worthy to fight me" type of character. He is the creator and operator of the net navi Blues, also known as Protoman. Both are highly skilled and powerful fighters; Enzan alone has earned the nickname "prodigy netbattler," with hundreds of undefeated matches under his belt.
Early in the series, Enzan takes an interest in Netto and Rockman after hearing rumors about the "incredible blue navi" solving crimes online. However, he believes that Netto isn't as impressive as people say, especially since Blues ends up saving Rockman from deletion multiple times.
As the series progresses, we see Enzan gradually opening up more to Netto and his friends. Eventually, this usually stoic boy even starts smiling almost daily. Despite this change, Enzan never loses his serious demeanor and remains the first to think things through logically. His calmness balances out Netto's impulsiveness perfectly during battles.
Towards the end of Axess, it is revealed that Enzan lost his mother at a very young age. His father, Shuuseki Ijuin, pushed him into becoming the Vice-President of IPC without giving him a proper childhood. This explains Enzan's cold and distant behavior.
