He is the doctor who assists Taki and, later in the manga, Miyuki from Dr. Ashino. According to Taki, he is a certified medical doctor, pediatrician, plastic surgeon, and esthetician. He also claims to be a gynecologist as a hobby. Throughout the series, he is only ever referred to as "Doctor," except for one instance where his girlfriend calls him Masataka.
He makes an appearance in the first episode of the anime, fulfilling a similar role as in the manga.
