He's exceptionally bright, optimistic, and energetic, seemingly unaffected by negativity. Daiya has a bit of a player reputation; though he doesn't believe in dating due to thinking it selfish to be exclusive, he enjoys flirting with many female students. Daiya is very protective and craves attention. If neglected, he becomes jealous but hides it well because of his easygoing nature. History:
Daiya hails from a family of geniuses. His father is a software company CEO, while his mother is a talented chemist with her own makeup and perfume line. Born with a high IQ, his parents taught him the joy of studying early on. However, Daiya disliked being confined at home and preferred playing with kids from nearby neighborhoods. He quickly realized the outside world differed greatly from his privileged upbringing.
Returning home bruised from play, his parents forbade him from leaving without permission. Fortunately, his paternal grandmother intervened, offering him a free and happy childhood in a Kyoto mansion. Although he loves his parents, Daiya refused to return until they accepted him for who he was.
He attended regular school until turning 15, when his grandmother decided it was time to think about his future. She enrolled him at Seikou, a top private school, thanks to her friendship with the headmistress. Surprisingly, despite minimal studying, Daiya excelled in entrance exams. His dream is to become an architect, motivating him to work hard at this high school.
His popularity soared during freshman year due to his personality and looks, associating mainly with influential students. The attention led to some selfishness, though he respects commoners greatly. As junior class representative, he aims to become vice-president next year, admiring Himeyuka's intelligence (and chest).

Relations: His loving parents, Satoshi Shinpo and Hanabe Shinpo, whom he talks to but refuses to live with. His grandmother Sachiko Shinpo, also his best friend and confidant, insists on being called Sac-chan rather than "Ba-chan" to feel younger.
