The previous Maoh and mother of Wolfram, Conrad, and Gwendal—each with different fathers. Although Cecilie initially appears rather airheaded, she is actually very astute and intelligent, as well as a deeply caring person. Having been succeeded as the Maoh by Yuri, Cecilie uses her newfound free time to pursue men on her "free and easy quest for love." She has shown interest in Yuri (though she remains one of the chief supporters of his engagement to her son, Wolfram), his older brother Shori, and even her childhood friend Raven. At one point, she wanted to marry Raven, much to her brother's dismay. Cecilie is also quite powerful, possessing admirable skill with the whip. In combat, she has the uncanny ability to quickly don red leather and a mask. This attire and her prowess tend to intimidate her enemies, and if they encounter her again, they are usually reluctant to fight her. Cecilie enjoys flowers and cultivates new varieties at Blood Pledge Castle. She names these flowers, such as "Beautiful Wolfram," "Secret Gwendal," "Conrad Stands Upon the Earth," "Cecilie's Red Sigh," and in season 3, she creates one called "Filled with Yuri's Naivete." Despite her cheerful demeanor, Cecilie can easily and effectively take control of situations and cares deeply for her sons. When Wolfram temporarily dies, she is devastated, and throughout the series, she strives to protect her sons without directly interfering. Cecilie goes by the name "Celi," pronounced "Cheri" in Japanese. As a result, some fans call her "Cheri," while others use "Celi" (pronounced as "Tseri" or "tselli" accurately in the Romanization of Japanese).
