Caterina was an expert in bombs and explosives, working as a freelancer alongside her partner Franco under the alias Franca.
Franca's real identity was Caterina, a university student who left her studies to file a national lawsuit over her father's arrest on unspecified criminal charges. Her father later died under suspicious circumstances while imprisoned. Believing in her father's innocence and outraged by the Italian government's apparent immoral tactics to suppress political dissent, Caterina sought out various activists within Italy to learn how to exact revenge on the government. Through the recommendation of Mangello Marinov, a family friend, Caterina met Franco, whose uncle was a renowned explosives specialist. Initially hesitant, Franco was soon moved by Caterina's strong convictions. She learned extensively from him and adopted the name "Franca" as a cover identity since she would be closely collaborating with Franco from then on.
Later, when Section 2 attempted to arrest Cristiano, she and Franco barely managed to save him from Rico and tried to flee in a car. However, after Angelica shot Franca multiple times, the car plunged off a cliff into a river. It was later revealed that both she and Franco died in this accident, leaving Cristiano alive but paralyzed and determined to seek vengeance against the Agency.
