At 17 years old, Asahi has already completed a three-year program at a prestigious bodyguard school in just one year and secured a teaching position there. Her remarkable achievements caught the attention of the Kisaragi group, leading her to work as a bodyguard for Sakuya, the son of the Kisaragi family. Until then, Asahi lived at the "Nekomata" bar with her uncle and several others, forming an unofficial vigilante group that safeguarded the area's residents from crime. Asahi's mother, Maria, is still alive but does not remember her daughter due to a traumatic brain injury sustained 14 years ago. Through the various jobs they undertake, Asahi and the rest of the "Nekomata" group hope to raise enough money for Maria to undergo surgery.
